Fertilizers enhance the growth of plants. This goal is met in two ways, the traditional one being additives that provide nutrients. The second mode by which some fertilizers act is to enhance the effectiveness of the soil by modifying its water retention and aeration. 
Fertilizers typically provide, in varying proportions:
three main macronutrients (NPK):
1.Nitrogen (N): leaf growth
2.Phosphorus (P): development of roots, flowers, seeds, fruit
3.Potassium (K): strong stem growth, movement of water in plants, promotion of flowering and fruiting

There are four major routes for manufacturing NPK fertilizers :
1.steam granulation,
2.chemical granulation,
3.compaction,
4.bulk blending.

A high potassium, highly controlled release fertilizer designed for use on golf course fairways and sports fields.
Use of controlled release nitrogen results in minimal surge growth and prolong colour response.
High potassium level assists turf in summer heat tolerance, winter cold tolerance plus disease resistance.
